Set against the backdrop of a magical panorama, in a scene unchanged by time and rich in contrasts - the imposing volcano, the sumptuous gardens, the blue of the sea and the impressive columns of the Greek Theatre – the IL DITO E LA LUNA RESTAURANT offers exclusive Sicilian and Mediterranean gastronomic specialities that are the fruit of an authentic passion characterised by the respect for and use of local products that are knowingly combined, allowing guests to discover and appreciate the fruits of this rich and fortunate land.
Il Dito e la Luna’s menu has strong regional connotations and includes seasonal local products such as Pachino cherry tomatoes, Bronte pistachios, black Nebrodi suckling pig capers from Salina, red garlic from Nubia, Sicilian cheeses and wines such as the Nero d’Avola, the Moscato di Pantelleria and many more of those included in our wine list.
Maximum attention is paid to the preparation methods of dishes and the new cooking techniques available, thus reducing to a minimum the use of fats and rich condiments that are excessive for a cuisine that wants to preserve and exalt the characteristics of the single ingredients, their colours, flavours, tastes and aromas.
During the summer season the “Il Giardino di Bacco” restaurant is open daily from 13:00 to 19:00, offering a selection of snacks and some typical local dishes.
