Diving and water sports enthusiasts can try out the Water Sports and Diving Centre locate on the beach. Highly trained multilingual staff are on hand to help you choose from our wide range of activities.

Diving excursions take place just 5-10 minutes from our beach, located at the Hotel Villa Sant’Andrea.

Grotta Azzurra: max. depth 25 m.
The most beautiful dive in the protected marine area of Taormina, just a few minutes boat ride from our diving centre. The stars of the show are thousands of prawns, corals, coloured sponges, little lobsters, parrotfish and a variety of starfish.

Bay of Mazzarò: max. depth 20 m.
The bay slowly descends with a mixed rock and sand seabed and it is the ideal spot for novice or learner divers. The many lights that illuminate the bay in the evening make it the ideal place for a night dive.

Here one can spot polyps, squid, red starfish and shoals of salpa that don’t flee in the presence of divers. The dives are easy and take place in areas that are sheltered from wind, waves and currents almost year-round.
 

Intro Dive (Sea baptism): one of our instructors will be delighted to introduce you to the world under water. This one-day course includes all the necessary equipment for the dive, a guided dive and a certificate. Minimum age: 8.

Discover Scuba Diving: A one-day course with a PADI instructor who will teach you all the fundamental techniques for diving and the essential exercises and safety information. Your instructor will guide you on two evocative dives, during which you will discover the marvels of the world under water. The course includes a viewing of the Padi “discover scuba diving” video, a verification test, all the equipment necessary, a dive from the beach and one from a boat in the beautiful “Isola Bella” marine reserve. Dive certificate and log book included. Minimum age: 8.

Open Water Diver: One of the best known diving courses that allows you to obtain an international licence. During this four-day course divers obtain the basic knowledge for dive safety, and practical training in shallow waters, and a minimum of 4 deep-water dives to a maximum of 18m. Use Open Water Diver manual, diving tables, a personalised Log Book and equipment are included. Minimum duration: 4 days.
 

Snorkelling Tours: visit the marvels of the marine reserve with a mask and flippers.

Jet Ski: dart over the crests of the waves on board a 100 cv Polaris Runner!

Water Ski: whether experts or beginners, being towed by a powerful 200 hp water ski boat is an exciting experience.

Wakeboard: using a 200 hp Mastercraft ski boat, complete with a Wakeboard tower.

Banana Boat: guaranteed fun on board a banana boat towed through the waves of the bay.

Canoe: the crystal waters of the bay of Mazzarò are the ideal place for a relaxing excursion in a canoe.

Boat Trip: Hire one of our elegant motorboats – nautical licence not required.
